  • What Is Virtual Reality (VR)? What Is Augmented Reality (AR)?
    Augmented reality,made popular by Apple, uses a device with a camera to overlay holograms of objects on a screen. AR is experienced using mobile or other wearables like smart glasses. Pokemon go is a classic example of this. Virtual reality on the other hand is a completely immersive experience, which is achieved using a VR headset. These experiences allow users to interact with items (people, places and objects) inside of the virtual world.

    You will need the following: An internet connection A virtual reality headset, such a oculus quest A PC or mobile device A blockchain wallet such as Metamask or other popular web based wallets.

  • What is an NFT?
    It stands for Non-Fungible Token. An NFT is a digital asset that represents real-world objects like art, music, in-game items and videos. They are bought and sold on online platforms like Opensea and they are generally encoded with the same underlying software as many cryptos. The idea behind it is that you are the undisputed owner of the ‘original’ item.
  • What Is the Metaverse?
    The general understanding that it is a shared virtual world that exists in the internet of things. It would be designed in a way wherein it can be accessed by people in their online avatars and users would be able to interact with other virtual people, places and things. Metaverse is still in its infancy and some of the biggest tech companies are racing to build their own versions of it. The metaverse will basically be like stepping inside of the internet. Everything about the internet will be brought to life as virtual worlds.
  • Why are NFTs popular?
    Because an NFT allows the buyer to own the original item. It also contains a mechanism that serves as a way of authentication as proof of ownership. This gives collectors ‘bragging rights’ of ownership

    Oculus Quest 2. It is a very popular and affordable headset The Quest is a good entry-level, all-around VR headset and able to operate independently. It is an all-in-one VR Swiss army knife, capable of great on-the-move VR and gaming across SteamVR and Oculus Rift compatible titles. Valve Index VR Kit Valve is a serious competitor in his business and their Value Index kit is no slouch. It is reasonably priced compared to other VR equipment and is a PC-tethered VR headset The Valve Index is for VR enthusiasts and dedicated PC gamers. HTC Vive Pro 2 The HTC Vive Pro 2 is the latest headset to hit the market, and it brings with it a number of updates on the display front to make it one of the most impressive mainstream options around.
  • How many metaverses will be there?
    It's hard to say given there is a race between tech giants like Meta, Nvidia, Epic Games and others to build their own franchises or worlds. But in all honesty it will be a failure if these are not interoperable. For example you should be able to take your belongings or objects acquired from one world to another, because essentially the vision for users will be to be part of one big metaverse.
  • What will the metaverse look like?
    It will look like a 3D version or digital version of the internet. Users will be able to drive into the metaverse using their VR headsets and interact with animated objects, buildings, streets office spaces events and much more Although, at this moment companies are more interested in making their own metaverse - in the future one would expect seamless travel and interoperability between said metaverses.
  • What are some popular metaverse games or platforms?
    True decentralized metaverse games are built on blockchain. The most popular blockchain for developers right now is Ethereum. Some truly decentralized popular metaverse games are as follows: Decentraland The most famous game currently is Decentraland. It was launched in February 2020 and is a browser-based platform. Users may buy, sell and rent virtual plots of real estate in the platform as NFTs and the currency of exchange is the MANA token. The games also allows you to socialize with other avatars, trade you wearables and other in game objects Sandbox It is a play to earn game that offers players a virtual world to live where they can build and monetise their own virtual experiences. There are a variety of quests spread throughout the game and can be completed for various rewards. Sandbox is in its early stages and growing rapidly the utility in -game token for transaction is SAND Axie Infinity Axie Infinity was launched in 2018 and is the third most popular game in this space. It is a trading and battling game that allows players to collect, breed, raise, battle, and trade creatures known as "Axies" which are digitized as NFTs, similar to Pokemon games in that regard. Players can use their creatures to battle, build and even hunt for treasure. Each Axie is a unique creature and has its own set of qualities and powers.
  • How does an NFT Work?
    NFTs exist on a blockchain, which is a distributed public ledger that records transactions. an NFT is created, or “minted” from digital objects that represent both tangible and intangible items. Ethereum is the most common blockchain for use of NFTs, however there are upcoming blockchains like Cardano and Solana which are gaining in popularity.
